Peace River Riders Donate Bike to TEAM Punta Gorda

Punta Gorda, FL, October 5, 2023 - Peace River Riders Bicycle Club (PRRBC) recently purchased a new bicycle for the TEAM Punta Gorda Free Loaner Bicycle Fleet. The bicycle will be added to one of the four area locations where TEAM Punta Gorda’s Free Loaner Bikes are available including Four Points Sheraton, Springhill Suites, Fishermen’s Village Marina, and Becky’s Garden Shoppe. Founded in 2009, PRRBC is dedicated to the encouragement of all aspects of bicycling and is a collective voice fostering a safe and active cycling culture in our community. They offer scheduled rides Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays and members also use the Facebook page to do impromptu rides. They sponsor a Pre-Pumpkin Pie ride Thanksgiving morning and have done Howl at the Moon and Ride of Silence rides. The organization sponsors “Wheels & Wings” which will be held July 14, 2024.
“We donate to ‘Do the Right Thing’ and Keep Charlotte Beautiful,” said PRRBC Treasurer Peggy Nederveld. “We also help maintain the bikes in the ‘Ride to School’ program for Charlotte County.”
